a dream that can be heard

You know what's great about rural Ireland?
The sea on the train ride south out of Dublin. The lush, unexpected views round every corner. The cacophony of birds at 5am. No smog, just peace. Seeing good friends again; being there when they marry.

You know what's not great about rural Ireland?
The complete lack of a decent cup of coffee.
I had to drink tea, people. Tea.

It was worth it. The wedding was lovely. The bride (somewhat predictably, for those who know her) was drop-dead gorgeous in her vintage gown. The church was small and intimate, the house where the reception was held elegant and homey. The groom made me tear up during his speech. I drank just enough and smoked a tad too much and had a great time. Thanks muchly, B&A. All the best in your lives together, now and always.
